Sozopol offers to its visitors many and different landmarks. In the old part of the town is located the church of St. Virgin Mary, which is an exceptional sample of the architecture. Valuable are the icons, drawn in the period of 17-19th century by the masters of Strandzha Iconography School. Another ecclesiastic cloister is the temple of St. Martyr George. Solitude for your prayer will offer you the picturesque church, St. Zosim, which is situated in the Town’s Garden and is built on the ruins of a mediaeval temple. The House-Museum of Geo Milev - Stara Zagora

In the native home of Geo Milev in Stara Zagora is housed a museum. It is located at Geo Milev street, 37. Here you can feel the atmosphere of his time – placards, literature, sketches of the Bulgarian poet, which will show you his world and talent. An aquarelle picture, personally made by the energetic and brave hand of the creator, is shown in the exposition. The museum also has many original belongings of Geo Milev’s heritage. The arrangement of the rooms is preserved in the way it was when the poet lived in it. And with the help of films which you can watch here, the life and work of this talented Bulgarian writer is presented .
