THE HOUSE WITH THE UMBRELLAS - Kostenkovtzi

Location

It is situated in the picturesque mountain village of Kostenkovtsi in one of the most beautiful Bulgarian regions – in the pre-Balkan of Gabrovo and Dryanovo, huddled up between Sokolski, Dryanovo and Kilifarevski monasteries. The house with the umbrellas is part of the complex for country tourism “Imanyarite”.

Rooms

As soon as you cross the threshold of the house you plunge into a unique atmosphere of the Revival Bulgarian life style and as if the feeling for coziness and safety comes to you through the centuries. The copper utensils, motley rugs, clay vessels, old cupboards, the warmth of the fireplace or “kyumbeto” reveal you fairy world, which is combined with the modern conveniences and luxury. At house’s guests’ disposal are 3 apartments, which permit the accommodation of total 16 persons. The rooms are furnished in old, traditionally Revival style – in the way that our ancestors had lived, but at the same time the present facilities and needs aren’t forgotten – luxury bathroom, satellite TV set, stereo.

Bars & Restaurants

You can enjoy the incredible taste of the local dishes, which tavern “Zhaltitsata” offers – it is also part of the complex “Imanyarite” in Kostenkovtsi. It is located at the entrance of the village. In authentic atmosphere of the tavern – motley table-cloths, ancient utensils or sitting outdoors – by the two barbecues you can try the dishes that are prepared from ecological pure products, produced in the private farm of the owner. The Balkan honey and the pure home-made yoghurt are offered to every guest.
